Frontdesk Review for Home-Service Businesses: Pricing, Booking and Integrations
Frontdesk is a broad AI front-office platform rather than a contractor-only answering service. For a home-service business, its strongest published case is direct appointment booking combined with transfers, CRM updates and automation—not trade-specific emergency taxonomy.
What Frontdesk publishes
The current pricing page lists Business-in-a-Box at $99 monthly or $79 monthly when billed annually with 200 voice minutes. Its home-services page says the receptionist can answer 24/7, book appointments, transfer urgent callers and connect with common calendar and CRM tools. Integration documentation names Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zapier; webhooks and API workflows are also documented.
Where it looks strongest
- Businesses that want the AI to book against live calendar availability.
- Teams using mainstream CRMs instead of a deeply contractor-specific workflow.
- Owners who want post-call automation beyond a transcript and text alert.
What still needs hands-on verification
- How reliably urgent HVAC/plumbing/electrical phrases trigger the intended transfer rule.
- Whether a complicated reschedule/cancel sequence stays synchronized.
- How the 200-minute allowance behaves during peak-season call lengths.
- How much configuration is required to make a home-service emergency script safe.

Provisional fit
Frontdesk is worth shortlisting when booking and cross-app automation matter more than a prebuilt trade-specific call taxonomy. A contractor should still run emergency and transfer-failure tests before using it as the sole after-hours front desk.
